I liked this list but I can't fathom a list like this without Something Good from Sound of Music.

"You're The Top" is the one number on this list that doesn't belong on this list at all, much less being #1

This may be the first Ms. Mojo list where I agree unreservedly with #1. I would have dropped #9 for I Will Never Leave You from Side Show.

Okay, I can never hear 'the Confrontation' now without thinking of Valjean as played by Joshua Colley.

"Suddenly, Seymour" should be *FAR* higher than tenth!
*EDIT:* After watching the video and reading the comments (seems I've repeated some others), I would like to amend my statement and say . . .
"Suddenly, Seymour" should be first, easily. None of the 'competition' seems to even be in the same league.

Phantom of the Opera is not a Broadway song. It's musical theatre, but not all musical theatre is Broadway. If you must put a geographic spin on it, then it's a West End song.

Its an ok top ten. To keep Carousel at the bottom along with Phantom? I don’t agree.
Both numbers out rank Rent, and frankly, Take Me or Leave Me as the best duet from Rent - No way.

I also think once Glee entered the picture - West Side Story should have been disqualified.

The problem with this list is its so subjective. Each decade had its hit musicals, and duets. But what duets and musicals have withstood the test of time?

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, but not Oklahoma’s People Will Think Were in Love? Or South Pacific’s Double Soliloquy? Or if that is not considered a duet - what about You Have to Be Carefully Taught? The King and I’s - I Have Dreamed?

Like I said its all subjective, but even showing crappy movie versions of Les Miz is insulting.

And frankly, Anything Goes as a number 1 and All I ask of You seven; no way. All I ask of You sung as the Phantom who loves Christine is watching this all transpire - does it get any more tragic, heartbreaking, and perfect than that scene on the rooftop?

This list is impossible because it tries to include all decades, except that the sixties and seventies were all but erased.
